I would love to build one for you! Depending on your needs, that website could come with a variety of configurations to match your goals. Each option has a very specific reason for being there. I’ll explain a little about each.
In the end, I want to build the site you want.
Options / Add ons:
FAQS:
We can create a catalog of FAQs and then categorize them for insertion into different pages (like only the Buyer FAQs show on the Buyer page). When you add a new question and answer to the category, each page will be updated as well.
FAQ BONUS:
There’s an SEO play here too. If your question matches a similar question somebody poses to Google, we might rank well in search results. As an example you could also use this for custom searches Example: with a question of “Homes for Sale under $800,000 in Sunny Acres” we would have the answer be an iDX saved search for just that. This is only possible because it’s a custom post type so each FAQ is it’s own post, which means we can have Google index just that post.
TESTIMONIALS:
This is a custom post type as well. We can do similar things with the categories as we do with FAQs – like showing just the buyer testimonials to the buyers. Unlike the FAQ, there’s no cool SEO play here.
PORTFOLIO:
If you are in real estate think of Portfolio as Solds. If being able to show your sold properties is important you’ll want this. Your local MLS only shows the public sold properties a short period after they close and they disappear from the public eye. That might be weeks or months. Each MLS is different. While IDX can pull in your solds, they rely on your MLS for that decay period. This custom post types takes it out of the system so the solds you post stay on your site, visible, for as long as you like.
LANDING PAGES:
If you run ads you want to have them lead to a landing page which removes all the distractions they might have to click away. Things like the logo, the menu bar, and other stuff is removed leaving them with 2 options – take the desired action you want them to, or close the page. That’s why they are also called a squeeze page.
IDX INTEGRATION:
IDX is a 3rd party that connects your site to your local MLS. Once integrated it can allow visitors to search for homes, but there’s so much more we can do with it. We can create custom searches for particular properties and then show them dynamically on your pages. Example: You could have a neighborhood page for “Sunny Acres” and on that page we can build a widget that shows the most current listings in that area.
NEWSLETTER:
I’m all about lead capture and 2nd to that I’m a big believer in the newsletter. The newsletter is an incubation system. Your site visitors might not be ready to pick up the phone but a regular newsletter keeps you top of mind for when they are. They are also less threatening than a formal drip campaign, but that’s also possible once you have a list going. You can customize the content in your newsletter each issue or have it automatically pull your latest posts.
VIDEO BACKGROUND:
I LOVE a good video background! Nothing makes your home page POP like a background video!
They are so cool, but to be honest it might not be best for you.
Here’s why.
* they generally slow down the loading of the site,
* you’ll need to produce that video,
* that video needs to be in 4 different formats depending on which browser they are using,
* depending on your sales funnel, your clients might never see it (going to blog posts first, or landing pages),
* proper technique requires that the video is replaced with a single image for mobile users, which might most all of your clients!
FULLY MANAGED BACK END
If you want, you can also use me to keep the site updated, backed up and safe, plus any technical issues down the road. That’s a $54/mo subscription.
Gallery of Sites: I pulled down the gallery of past sites I built, here’s why. I want to build the site you want. Too often, potential clients would look at the gallery and say, “I want a site just like XYZ.com”. So I was building site after site that all looked alike. If you want a list of sites I’ve built, or would like to see some inspiration, just ask and I’ll send you a few!
