Have you ever been in the middle of working on something when a great idea hits you for a blog post? 5 minutes later, the thought is gone? (yeah that happens to me all the time)
WordPress has a great and underutilized feature called Quick Draft – here’s how to make the most of it and never forget another great post idea again!
For those not into video:
1. Go to: http://yourwebsite.com/wp-admin/ log in and you’ll see your dashboard.
2. Click on the Screen Options Drop Down.
3. Click on the Quick Draft Check Box
4. Now quickly write down that idea before, oh look a squirrel!
When I went to shoot this video I realized I had more than 30 posts set in Draft! Looking at them I realized some had past their expiration date, others were kind of lame and then others were… Let’s just say I’m glad I didn’t go there. Sometimes my snark is better left off the internet. The good news is that they were all saved! From there, I could make ‘smarter’ choices.
Maybe your first Quick Draft should be to thank me #justsayin Darn – there’s that snark again!
