Spoiler Alert: There’s no way we cover this in two short minutes. The good news is that in these two minutes I’ll give you things to think about that you would have never considered. The other good news is that I’m almost done with a huge “How To” that will be perfect for the DIY person.
Record a Better Intro than Rafael!
Obviously you’ll need a domain name. You can get that most anywhere. Yeah GoDaddy is fine for that. Hosting is a whole other topic. There are quite a few hosting plans to go with.
I use a lot of different hosting companies in the sites that I build as well as my client site. AreWeConnected is hosted on a “green server” – they source all of their power from wind and solar to the point that they have a NEGATIVE 300% carbon footprint! How cool is that. (they are HERE).
What you might not have considered are things like a permalink structure, a category structure, tags, menu bars with child items in the menu – all things you need to know BEFORE you start building.
Like I mentioned, it’s impossible to cover everything here but I am almost done, so very close, to having this course done.
