Lincoln Crum shared this wonderfully executed video.
It’s very different isn’t it? Entertaining? I think so.
There’s a couple of things that surprise me though…
1. It’s Seasonal. Right off the bat that means it’ll have a limited shelf life.
2. It went live on YouTube on Dec 7th. I’m not one to rush the holidays and cringe at anything X-mas before Thanksgiving. That said, if I was going to do this, I’d have launched it (and launched it HARD) the minute I swallowed that last bite of turkey.
And maybe the most surprising fact of all…
3. The house? It’s currently priced under $100,000!
Here’s why that is so surprising to me. I realize all markets are different and yes my view may be skewed (I live in the land of Jumbo’s). Locally I work with agents selling homes from the low $500,k to multi millions. Few of them do listing videos and even fewer would ever think to create something like this. Yet here is some guy in Louisville, KY pumping out videos like this for a home 99% of my local agents wouldn’t take as a listing.
Is it corny? It sure is. Does it work? We’ll just have to see. Will it get more exposure for the property? It already has. You just watched it, I blogged about it and shared it on all the social media channels.
What’s that you say? You don’t have time nor the money for video? Said Lincoln on Facebook…
As for the money part – Lincoln said that came from “sponsorship”. Did you see that mortgage company at the end?
Want to see another of his “Listing” videos? This was from May and grabbed 3,000+ views!
So tell me again why you don’t do video?
