I like to challenge myself each month on weird stuff. This month I’ve challenged myself to produce a video each day that is short yet informative, educational, and actionable.
Here’s Day 20
It’s a pain in the rear to sales people and marketers and a heaven sent feature to the public.
Instagram is one of the few places you CANNOT leave a clickable link in a post. You can have ONE link in your Profile, but only one.
https://linkinprofile.com/ creates a landing page that is very much like an Archive Page in WordPress. The problem is, unless you want to send people to multiple different places, you probably don’t need it.
Archive Pages can be things as simple as your Blog. You could narrow that down to a particular Category (like, in my case WordPress) or even Tags (like this 28 Days of Video). All of this happens automagically in your site and you don’t need something to create an Archive Page for you.
Besides, it adds yet another click to your users and the fewer clicks the better, right?
BONUS: Of course the only way around this is to run an Instagram Ad Campaign and that’s exactly what Facebook wants you to do.
Is there a topic you’d like to see me cover?
