Recently I spoke at Richard Robbins Achieve in Toronto. While we couldn’t get to all the questions during the event we promised to answer them all. The following is just one of many…
Question:
“How many postings per day/week do you recommend?”
We’re talking Facebook right? That’s a tough question! Each post on your wall will show up in your fans news stream. What are we looking for in our posting? Is it simply staying top of mind? Is it engagement? How are they reading their news? Top News pushes the popular posts to the top while Most Recent is just that.
On the extreme side, if you posted 10 times a day, 10 different items – would you be driving your fans crazy? You would certainly drive me crazy.
There was a recent study that showed 3 times a week had better results than multiple times a day when it came to engagement. Great, yet that wouldn’t work for me. I’m a daily blogger, each post I write I also share on my Facebook Page wall (using the LINK function of course)
There’s also the question of when?
Do you post first thing in the morning, at lunch, or in the early evening for best results? Is there really is a right answer? Each Page audience is different. You’ll have to test to see what works best with yours.
