How’s this for a series?
You have a problem you need fixed on your Facebook Fan Page
You ask and I show you how to fix it
Only I’m going to do it with video and use it as a blog post. This way, when others have the same issue, they’ll be able to fix it themselves too.
Let’s call it…
Fix My Fan Page!
Yeah I know that sounds as cheesy as a game show but it works for me so I’m going with it.
For the first installment, my friend Jeff Belonger completed his About Tab on his page (facebook.com/MyPhillyAlive) but couldn’t get the website link to show on the front or timeline.
Good question Jeff! Come on Down! (oops, wrong game show reference)
Here’s how (and this one is really easy).
As an Admin of your Page, go to your about tab and click ‘edit’.
You’ll see a small box simply called “about”.
Anything you put in that box shows up in the front page section!
Oh, and there’s one more thing. You need to have Apps on your page that work for people who sign in to Facebook securely. Right now, yours don’t. Here’s a post that explains everything “Poisoning the Well“.
And there’s the buzzer. It looks like our time is up. So that’s it for this episode of “Fix My Fan Page!“
If you want to play along, just explain what the issue is with your Facebook Fan Page and I’ll be happy to help you
“Fix My Fan Page!”
