I started with the idea of giving a shout out to 6 different people I think you might want to follow on Google plus. For those of you new to this, think of it as my Follow Friday only for Google Plus instead of Twitter. Got it? This is waaaay better than a FF in that you also get a little narrative on why you might want to follow these wonderful human beings. (Click on their names to go to their G+ Profile)
Don’t tell him, but I’ve been a Joe Sheehan Fan forever! The dude is solid. He’s one of the nicest people, he’s a connector, and a curator on Google Plus. He first hit my radar back in the days of ActiveRain but it wasn’t until I spent real time with him at REBarCamp in Lynchburg, VA that I started really paying attention. Since then I’ve been glad I did!
I’ve known of Irene Koehler for a very long time. She seems to pop up everywhere. She was a guest on our radio show discussing Linkedin. We know many of the same people. Since I follow her on every single other platform – why not follow her there too? She’s active, a quality share and all around good people!
I recently started a music circle. In there I have a lot of famous musicians like Trent Reznor, Sammy Hagar. I found them all on this great site I’ve been using (post coming on that) Most of them have been verified by G+ as being the real person they say they are. As a big fan of Rick Astley, I was first surprised and then impressed he was on G+. His stream on G+ is pretty cool. After a long retirement, he’s starting to get back into performing. He’s married, has a daughter and lives in a London suburb. (check out http://www.group.as/musician/ for more)
Every time I look Debra Trappen is in a Hangout, just finished a Hangout, or has just posted something about a Hangout. I should just start calling the Hangout Queen. She’s a Director of Career Development at Coldwell Banker Bain Seal up in Seattle. I featured her partner in crime Linda Aaron earlier. Social Media Smart she’s an asset to any circle you put her into.
I’ve been following Jason Crouch forever. I heard at one time he was the MOST subscribed to person on ActiveRain (he probably still is). He’s an incredible human being, a real estate agent in Austin, TX and all around nice guy. He’s also a social media expert and co host on a great radio show (Social Media Edge).
For the n00b in the ranks, please meet my friend Tracy Sichterman – she’s brand new to G+, needs to complete her ‘about’ tab (hint hint) and is Owner/Broker of Berkeley Hills Realty, a mother, a foodie, an art-lover and so so much more! If you can, spend as much time with her IRL. I’m sure that’s not possible so Circle her up!
