Not really, but it makes this sound really spectacular doesn’t it?
After finding out that I could create a List on Facebook and make it public I wanted to explore a little of how this could work.
Backstory: Everyone I have added as a friend in Facebook has gone into a list (private). The reason being is so I can better control the privacy aspects for those people. Lists are key to so much that happens in facebook. The New Profiles now allow you to share those lists if you choose.
I quickly went through my Facebook RE Friends list and added people that stood out to me as “Engagers, Sharers, and Givers” and added them to a new list I titled Great RE People! Here’s a link to that List: Mike’s LIST of Great RE People!
I then went to my profile settings and made the list public. Along the way I found out I could add a Facebook Page if I wanted to so there’s a few Pages included. Now I wish Pages could create lists like this as well.
Check out my list, you might very well be on it, and then go create a list of your own to share!
Remember: The most important list isn’t mine, or so and so’s – it’s yours. It’s the people who engage with you, who share with you and who give with you.
Upon reflection I can say that each and every one of these people have made a difference in my life, either direct or indirect. Good job Peeps!
