Nothing changes faster than social media. Just as soon as you get used to something it changes. That happened again this week with Facebook. They introduced new auto populating Lists, a new dashboard newsfeed scroller, a new main content section for the newsfeed and they are rolling out a “timeline” feature all in an effort to help deliver to people the info that’s most important to them.
That’s a good thought and might help most but it doesn’t help us ‘sales people’. In that department we need to take matters in our own hands. I’ve always maintained various lists in an effort to sort and filter to get down to the people that make the biggest difference in my business. That’s my A List. You may have one too. If you are in Sales you MUST create your own Lists for the people that matter most to you.
Here’s a video on how to do that.
That said, it seems people just don’t like change. I’ve seen a lot of people saying they are jumping ship and moving over to the new kid on the block, Google Plus. No worries, we can do the same thing there too. They’re called circles and G+ allows us to sort and filter down the same way.
Moving over to G+? Here’s your video!
Now go create lists or circles and touch base with the people you need on a regular basis.
Oh, and you’re welcome!
