Yay! Just got an friend request from Chris Morgan! Here’s her profile http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100000874118431
She looks a little familiar. Maybe I met her at a conference?
Not sure, so I just went to her profile. She has posts on her wall, she has photo albums, and even pictures where she was tagged. But something just didn’t seem right. Just one single profile picture. Who has just 1?
In the albums there were NO pictures of herself and in the tagged images every picture of her was from the back or too far away. It’s getting a little more interesting. Admittedly she’s cute, but in a complicated relationship (not that I’m looking but sex sells – always). Her birthday is January 1. What are the odds of that? hmmm. She’s also not on Linkedin. Everyone’s on Linkedin right?
So where do I know her from…
Still not sure, here’s what I did. I grabbed her photo. The only photo I could find. Then I went to Google’s image search (http://goo.gl/hvZYz) and uploaded a pic of my new friend.
Now I remember her! She used to work as a stock photography model!
Yes, the profile is a FAKE. This profile is a business and this business is misleading people. It’s easy to fall for this crap. Already 79 of my friends have.
Why would they do this? Are they run by UGLY people and needed a pretty public face? Why friend me? Are they looking for secrets? Just ask. I have a well know V.A. that did and I shared all (after which she plagiarized my site and started up as a competitor business – but I’d still do it all again).
So sorry Real ___, I guess the Real in your name doesn’t stand for real integrity, or real transparency (maybe Real Fake?). Oh and yeah, Friend Request Denied.
UPDATE: She’s gone. deleted. taken down by her owners. Now all I have is a screen shot to remember her by. I thought we had something Chris. I’m going to miss you.
UPDATE II: Sarah wants to be friends! YES!!
