Google Buzz

The show is a highly concentrated, 1/2 hr discussion around a specific topic.  Conversations are usually technology or social media relevant – but then again, why always color within the lines?  It’s hosted on BlogTalkRadio.com and is a spinoff of the original Social Media Edge show.

Is this show about the paranormal and aliens?
Sorry no.  Unless of course we find out Aliens are using Twitter and Facebook to communicate. The show is a lively discussion, with a lively chatroom, and some spirited call-in questions.  The name is just a play on my name and an homage to what I thought was an excellent TV show.  Hey there’s even a little symbolism on the logo    (learn more).
How do I get on the show?
We’ve made it very easy – just go here
How do I ask the guest a question?
Just call in to the show and press 1 to let the producer know you would like to speak.

play_button DeedStreet Doug Lazovick of DeedStreet.com – Doug helps us make a little more sense out of DeedStreet and perhaps best practices of twitter as a Real Estate Professional. play_button Skip1.org Shelene Bryan of Skip1.org – You’ve seen the commercials on late night TV.  ”For just pennies a day you can adopt and feed this child”  You may have reached out and adopted a child (good for you) but is that child real or are you unknowingly sending cash to some guy in with a Porsche?  One day that same thought struck Shelene.  What did she do?  She packed her bags and flew thousands of miles to find that child on her refrigerator!  What did she find?  You’ll have to listen.

This was a follow up on the December theme with particular focus on the current problem in Haiti.  Right now all of Skip1’s focus is going to Haiti.  What’s Skip1? Watch This! Want to help the survivors in Haiti – Join Skip1, then skip something!  100% of the $ you send go directly to the people in need.

Coming Soon We’ve all been there.  Checking out at the grocery store only to find out you left your wallet somewhere else.  When this happened to Jennie, Carolee Hazard stepped up and paid for the strangers $207 cart of groceries.  Jennie later found her wallet and sent Carolee a check for an even $300.  Instead of using that extra amount herself, Carolee donated the $93 to a local food bank and then shared her experience with her friends on Facebook.  Now you know HOW the 93 Dollar Club started, listen to the WHY!  Here’s the two of them on a local television station: Ch 7 (she starts at 8:20)

play_button Coming Soon Sherri Lewis Wood of OneWarmCoat.org. This year more than 3,000 coat drives are being held across the country and into Canada with the support of One Warm Coat — looks like close to 500,000 coats will be donated. Coats are kept in their local community to be GIVEN to people in need.  Friend them on Facebook! Help spread the word.

play_buttonDriveBuyTech Ian Greenleigh, Director of Sales & New Media for DriveBuy Technologies talks about their product, how it’s used, the ease of setup and management.  What I like about this is the way it delivers the correct content to the person requesting it quickly and efficiently.  I like to think of it as a start of the conversation.
