Coming soon!
Facebook announced at their “Developer Garage” an important coming change to their platform called The Open Graph API. That might not sound all that exciting to most but trust me, this is a game changing announcement!
Why?
According to Facebook,
“The Open Graph API will allow any page on the Web to have all the features of a Facebook Page – users will be able to become a Fan of the page, it will show up on that user’s profile and in search results, and that page will be able to publish stories to the stream of its fans.”
To your readers and fans it will soon not matter if they are in Facebook or on your site. What happens on your Facebook Business (Fan) Page doesn’t just stay there and it doesn’t just happen on the walls of your fans – it’ll also be happening on your website in real time!
No more driving fans to your Facebook Page, if they are on your site, they are also on the Facebook Business Page as well.
How will it look? How will it integrate? We’re going to have to wait to find out.
