Wordcamp San Francisco was awesome!
(that’s what the t-shirt says too)
I’m going over my notes this morning and will have more indepth opinions soon.
I met some great people, saw some great presentations (and some not so great ones), connected with some old friends and made some new ones.
I chose not to bring a laptop and twittered very little. I did it the old fashioned way – jotting notes in a steno pad.
For the most part I sat in the 2nd row right in front of the podium. At times there were two separate tracks going. Here’s what I attended
Matt Mullenweg – Welcome (that’s Matt pictured)
Tim Ferriss (Author of The 4 hour work week)
Matt Cutts (the head of Google Anti Spam)
Matt Mullenweg – State of the Word address
Tara Hunt – Makin’ Whuffie
Philip Greenspun – on Writing
Chris Pirillo – Community
Scott Porad – User Generated Content (he’s FailBlog and ICanHazCheezeburger and others)
Cali Lewis – Building Audience (GeekBrief.tv )
Matt Mullenweg – Goodbye address
*Special thanks to JoeDuck who I sat next to and had a great conversation with and took the picture. : )
