With a headline like that, and copy like this…
It’s California’s dirty little secret. The state boasts it has the most advanced program for recycling toxic television and computer monitors. But if that’s true, then why did CBS 5 Investigates find a mountain of glass from those TVs and monitors in the desert of a neighboring state?

I was a little worried about our turnout today at our local high school’s eWaste fundraiser . Yes, we all know about the sensationalism that happens in the media. Often times we don’t get the complete story.
I knew I would have a chance to ask about what really happens to that monitor I dropped off. Here’s a quick chat I had with Jan Rice of http://www.UnWaste.com who has been helping our school for the last couple of years.
So it turns out, the glass in Arizona didn’t come from an eWaste "Recycler" like UnWaste, it came from a "Collector" – there’s a difference.
The big takeaway here is that if you are worried about being GREEN and doing the right thing with your eWaste you can be confident if you go to an UnWaste event . They are both Collectors and Recyclers and will always do the right thing with your material.
